Garth Brooks And Trisha Yearwood Share Marriage Advice In Hilarious Song

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are one great couple who’ve had a very happy relationship over 15 years of marriage. So, recently, the country music couple decided that they wanted other couples to know their secret of being in a happy relationship.

During a new episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood shared their secret to a successful relationship in a hilarious song that every couple can relate to.

In May 2021, Brooks and Yearwood co-hosted DeGeneres’ long-running daytime talk show and they opened the episode with a segment in which they took relationship questions from several virtual audiences.

Virtual Audience Throw Questions at the Couple

The questions from the virtual audience came from all angles – from how to set the mood in the bedroom to how to deal with a partner’s annoying habits, which prompted Yearwood to confess that her husband’s incessant whistling sometimes gets on her nerves.

When they were asked about the key to a happy marriage, Brooks shared a song that he wrote for the occasion, accompanying himself on acoustic guitar as he delivered a lyric that pretty much every man on Earth can confirm is true:

Garth Brooks Lyrics While Answering The Audience

“Never go to bed angry. It ain’t worth the fight. If you’re wise you will compromise and hold each other tight. You’d better learn to say, ‘Yes, dear’ every day and night. Only one thing to remember: The wife is always right.”

Trisha Yearwood also graced the show with her verse:

“He may drive you crazy with the whistling he does. And after years of training, he ain’t much better than he was. If you wanna have a marriage well let me shed some light there’s only one thing to remember: The wife is always right.”

The Couple Surviving Amid Quarantine

Some months ago, Garth Brooks said, he and his wife, Trisha Yearwood are closer after working on their marriage during the Coronavirus lockdown. At that time, Brooks, 59, told the guest host Stephen “tWitch” Boss that he and Yearwood, 56, had hard conversations about their relationship while quarantining together after Yearwood contracted COVID-19.

Luckily, they used the period to work on themselves because they were for two weeks, almost three weeks. In his words, “I think 99.9% of people wouldn’t have done what I did, but I thought since we’re here, and we ain’t got nowhere to go, let’s just attack some of the hardest things over the 15 years that bugs one of us, right?. And it was like living in a little house. You couldn’t go anywhere, so you couldn’t walk away from the conversation. And I thought it was great, I think we came out the other end even closer and tighter than we were when we went in.”

The couple was initially forced to wait a week after their initial exposure to the virus for testing because of severe winter weather. However, Brooks revealed at that time that anyone who knew him knows that his world begins and ends with his darling wife, Yearwood.
