Miranda Lambert is “Excited” to Plan Las Vegas Residency
Wow, more and more stars are starting to embrace the idea of a Las Vegas residency. We’ve seen global superstars like Adele, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood and more plan out iconic details for their shows.
Now, country artist Miranda Lambert is stepping into the arena and she’s very engaged with the planning process in order to create a show she and her fans would fall in love with.
This fall will see Miranda heading to Sin City for her 24-date residency, Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo, at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
The singer will kick off the residency on September 23 with a show that’s sure to “give fans an up close and personal opportunity to experience live performances of the numerous chart-topping songs and beloved album cuts” from her impressive catalog, according to a press release.
“When you’ve been touring as long as I have, there’s something really creative about imagining a residency in a city like Las Vegas,” Lambert said in a statement. “I’ve had a lot of fun designing our sets, merchandise and clothing and boot lines — and even my place on Broadway in Nashville, Casa Rosa — so this opportunity allows me to lean a bit more into that side of myself and think about how to really bring country music to life in this room.”
Miranda, who is currently the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards’ Entertainer of the Year, added: “I think everyone will like what we’ve dreamed up. I’m really excited about this!” Her new album Palomino will be dropping on April 29 and will be made up of 15 tracks.
In May, she will kick off a co-headlining tour with Little Big Town in May.
