Reba McEntire, like many of her fans, wishes to get on the road and have fun as soon as possible, but sadly, it isn’t meant to be. The dates of her tour were fast approaching and Reba and her team decided that the pandemic still posed restrictions and there were health concerns to keep in mind, so the tour dates were further moved up, to hopefully, a safer time when everyone could scream and have fun safely.
Reba McEntire’s 2022 Dates
The country music singer’s tour was originally set for 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdowns that followed, it was moved up to 2021, but 2021 didn’t offer a better weather as was expected and the dates were further moved up to early 2022. All of the previous dates have been rescheduled but for one performance originally meant to take place in St. Paul, Minnesota on July 16, 2021.
“We’ve waited as long as we possibly could to make a decision, but unfortunately we’re not going to be able to play our 2021 Reba: Live in Concert dates,” Reba shared in a message to fans through her social media channels on Wednesday. “As much as I wish we could get back out on the road, it’s just not possible yet. However, don’t worry… we are going to reschedule the dates for 2022. We cannot wait to get back out on the road and bring you our brand new show!”
Reba, 66, promised that the tickets purchased for the previous shows will still be eligible for the new dates and tickets for the St. Paul show will be refunded.
“I’ve got some big news coming later this year that I hope will be worth the wait for all of us!” Reba added. “Stay tuned for some exciting announcements on tour, music and more coming soon. Love, Reba.”
As for music, Reba recently teased her fans with a short clip of herself singing her 1982 hit “Can’t Even Get the Blues” in a recording studio. She captioned the short video, “Been in the studio working on something fun this week!!! #StayTuned #Can’tEvenGettheBlues.”
The multi-award winning platinum country artist is also involved in a number of projects including an Upcoming Fried Green Tomatoes series at NBC. It was reported that the upcoming project is a series adaptation of the 1991 film and is described as a “modernization” of the movie and the novel it was based on. Interestingly, it is meant to explore the lives of the descendants from the original work. No premiere date is currently attached to the project.
