Willie Nelson has announced the Outlaw Music Festival Tour for 2021. The country singer announced the cities and dates for the tour earlier this week. The tour begins on August 22 when Willie Nelson & Family, along with Chris Stapleton, Ryan Bingham, and Yola, will dazzle the people of Austin, Texas.
The August 22 show will take place at the Germania Insurance Amphitheatre in Austin. The 2021 festival will stretch into October, as Willie Nelson and the impressive lineup of singers and songwriters move from different American cities. Altogether, there are fourteen shows planned for the Outlaw Music Festival Your 2021.
Outlaw Music Festival Tour: Inception and COVID-19
The Outlaw Music Festival started in 2016. Previous performers at the tour include Neil Young, Eric Church, Luke Combs, and other notable names out of the mainstream music industry. The Outlaw Music Festival is widely known for the energetic performances from talented acts and an array of delicious local dishes and drinks of each city.
In 2019, the spectacular festival started in Bangor, Maine, on June 14. Alongside Willie Nelson & Family, Phil Lesh and Friends, Alison Krauss, The Revivalists, and others wowed the audience in different American cities.
The music festival didn’t hold in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the past year, Nelson has not had a tour, but with the reduction of COVID-19 protocols in cities, many artists are taking their shows back on the road. Willie Nelson & Family, along with the incredible lineups, will join the long list of other artists performing at different music festivals which will hold this year.
