Meet Mike Fisher, husband of American actress and singer Carrie Underwood. Fisher has been married to the country star since 2010, about two years after they met during one of Underwood’s concerts in 2008. Michael Andrew Fisher is a 40-year-old Canadian-American athlete from Peterborough, Ontario. In 1998, the Ottawa Senators noticed the natural talent of Fisher at ice hockey. He was drafted into the team and remained until 2011, when he joined the Nashville Predators.
Mike Fisher stated that the management of his first team allowed him to transfer to Nashville Predators to be closer to his wife. Five years after he joined Nashville Predators, Fisher became the sixth captain of the team. Under his captainship, the team reached the Stanley Cup Finals in 2017 but lost the game to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Fisher announced that he was retiring from ice hockey in 2017 but went back in 2018 for another go at the Stanley Cup. He announced another retirement a few months later after the Winnipeg Jets knocked off the Predators in the second round of playoffs.
Meeting Carrie Underwood & The Birth Of Isaiah Michael Fisher
Fisher was born to Jim and Karen Fisher in Peterborough, Ontario. He has two brothers, Rob and Gregory Fisher, and one sister, Meredith Fisher. Fisher and Carrie Underwood’s love story started at one of the singer-songwriter’s concerts, where they met backstage. About a year later, in December 2009, the two got engaged and tied the knots on July 10, 2010. The wedding took place at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge- Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia, with hundreds of guests in attendance.
On February 27, 2015, Fisher and his wife became parents. The couple welcomed their first son, Isaiah Michael Fisher. About four years later, on January 21, 2019, the couple welcomed their second son, Jacob Bryan Fisher. Jacob’s birth had been a surprise because it came after Carrie had several miscarriages.

In 2019, Fisher was a guest on the DadTired podcast. During the podcast, he spoke about his marriage, family, and the joys and challenges of being a father. The proud father also takes to his social media accounts to share pictures of his sons. In one of the pictures, Isaiah tries to teach Jacob how to fish. The proud father stated that he loves watching how fast his sons are growing, yet he sometimes wishes he can pause the process.
According to Mike Fisher, his marriage to Underwood is not perfect, but he is learning every day how to make things work. He also explains that being married has taught him to place his loved one’s needs above his.
