Lauren Alaina Withdraws From Acoustic Show After Testing Positive For COVID-19

Country singer Lauren Alaina was forced to withdraw from a collaborative performance with other artists because she has been infected with the coronavirus. She was scheduled to be part of an acoustic rendition with fellow country singers Jordan Davis, Priscilla Block, Jon Pardi, and Travis Denning as part of several events that make up a show organized by two radio stations, WBUL and WAMZ. The performance was planned to take place on Saturday night, the 20th of March, in Lexington, Kentucky, at the RUPP Arena.

Lauren Alaina Disappointed About Missing Event With Fellow Country Stars

Lauren announced her positive status on Saturday night. In a social media post on the photo-sharing platform Instagram, Lauren said she was disappointed at not been able to attend the show as she tested positive for coronavirus the night before. The 26-year-old country singer said she experiencing mild symptoms of the coronavirus like shortness of breath, bad headaches, as well as the loss of taste and smell. However, she was going into isolation to recover very soon. She asked her fans to upload videos of the acoustic performance so she could be part of the fun from isolation and urged them to enjoy themselves immensely with her co-artists. The season ten American Idol runner-up concluded her Instagram story by appreciating the organizers of the show for understanding her plight.

The country singer joins a long list of other prominent country musicians like a son Sturgill, Laura Bell, Rita Wilson, Tanya Trotter, Fiona Prine, and others to have contracted the coronavirus since its outbreak.

Strict Coronavirus Protocols At Shows

This is the second acoustic show to be hosted by the radio stations as part of several live shows which began in January this year. It is mandatory for people who want to attend the show to be passed through after getting temperature checks, strictly comply with social distancing measures while wearing their face masks at the same time. Tickets sold for the acoustic show were just 15 percent of the total capacity of the RUPP Arena.

Lauren Releases New Single, “Getting Over Him”

The country music songwriter and vocalist Lauren released another single this month, titled “Getting Over Him”, from her latest album, Getting Good. The song features her friend and artist that is with the same record label as she is, Jon Pardi, with it enjoying airplay on country radio. The single ” Getting Over Him” was written by Emily Weisband, Paul Giovanni, and Lauren.

The single was released after her first single, “Getting Good”, teaches the 30th position in the Billboard Country Music Top 100 charts. Her latest album was released in September last year.

Of recent, Lauren got a nomination nod at the upcoming 56th ACM Awards for her collaboration with HARDY and Devin Dawson, in their hit track, “One Beer”. The awards are scheduled to take place on Sunday night, the 18th of April, in Nashville
