What Dolly Parton Says About Retirement Rumors!

Dolly Parton seems to know about the repeated retirement rumors that swirl.

And in her usual direct fashion, the country music songstress tackled those rumors in a recent interview with “60 Minutes.”

“Well, I don’t plan to retire,” said Dolly firmly.

Parton also revealed plans for her future, hinting at a possible milestone. Does Dolly want to star on a magazine for men before she retires?

Dolly Parton Unveils Playboy Magazine Plans!

“I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again,” Dolly Parton asserted in her “60 Minutes” interview.

“See, I did Playboy magazine years ago,” pointed out Parton. “I thought it would be such a hoot if they would go for it — I don’t know if they will — if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”

Now 75-years-old, Dolly hopes that Playboy magazine is listening to her wishes!

Dolly Parton Recalls History With Playboy Magazine

In 1978, Dolly Parton became the very first country music songstress to get featured on Playboy magazine’s cover!

And Dolly surprised her fans by daring to don the official Playboy bunny costume for the occasion. (You go, girl!)

However, Parton specified that she would not appear nude. As for whether she would repeat that appearance for Playboy before retiring?

Dolly didn’t just say “yes.” The country music singer mused that she could put on the exact same bunny suit for the cover!

“Boobs are still the same!” joked Parton.

But Dolly does recognize the need for a few, ahem, tweaks before she steps before the camera.

“I always say good lighting, good makeup and good doctors,” Parton admitted, adding, “And a good attitude don’t hurt any, either.”

Country Music Legend Shares What She Might Do After Retiring

If and when Dolly Parton does retire, the country music legend has hinted at possibilities.

And Dolly also shared that her fans might feel “surprised” at what she would do after retirement.

“I think people would be surprised at how really at-home I am,” noted Parton.

Although the country music singer has become famous for her elaborate hairstyle and outfits, Dolly categorizes herself as a stay-at-home lover.

“I look like a party doll but I’m very home-lovin’. I’m a homebody, and I’m family-oriented,” emphasized Parton. “I don’t get out much unless it’s a special occasion.”

Known for her energetic attitude toward life, Dolly also revealed that she does a complete personality change when she relaxes at home.

“So I guess people might be surprised at just how calm I really am,” summed up the country music singer.

Recently, Parton shared her plans for a new lodge and resort, called “Heartsong” after one of her tunes. Will she shift from focusing on country music to expanding her entrepreneurial endeavors?
