Luke Bryan just stepped on stage for his first concert at a popular venue in almost two years.
And although the coronavirus pandemic delayed that occasion, the crowd and Bryan himself proved that country music (like wine) ages well!
Get all the details on the country music singer’s concert tour and recent event below.
Luke Bryan Delights Country Music Crowd: ‘We’re Back!’
Almost two years passed before a concert could be held at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview, according to the Syracuse.
But waiting just made Luke Bryan’s concert all the more powerful.
For his opening song, Bryan chose “That’s My Kind Of Night.”
And this country music knight kept his message simple: “We’re back!” called out Luke to the delighted crowd.
The concert reportedly represented the biggest such musical event since the pandemic began. With over 10,000 country music fans celebrating, Luke clearly felt moved by the meaning behind his music.
Previously, Live Nation planned to require that all concert-goers show proof of vaccination. However, because New York achieved the 70 percent vaccination goal, the state removed such restrictions. Therefore, no proof of vaccination was required.
Country Music Hits Hype Up Crowd
Reflecting on how he felt after seeing his country music tour delayed, rescheduled, and then delayed again, Luke beamed at the crowd.
“It means the world to me that you guys showed up after all these changes,” drawled Bryan in his country twang.
Representing the very first show in Luke’s tour, the concert offered a wealth of hit songs from the country music singer’s treasure chest.
Highlights of his song set included “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” as well as “Play It Again” and “Country Girl (Shake It For Me).”
Dance To the Country Music Like Luke Bryan And His Opening Acts!
As always, country music fans showed their energy with movement. But they weren’t alone in dancing to Luke’s country tunes!
During his hit “One Margarita,” Bryan did his own cha-cha. As for his opening acts? Caylee Hammack and Dylan Scott got the music flowing.
Hammack even danced as well, singing tunes from “If It Wasn’t for You.” And Scott proved he deserved the opportunity to open for Luke, with songs ranging from “When You Say Nothing At All” to the romantic “My Girl.”
Add in DJ Rock, who opted for a mix of country with Kenny Chesney and rock/hip-hop with Eminem, Usher, Nelly, AC/DC and Guns ‘n Roses.
But despite the DJ’s mixed selection, Bryan opted for pure country in his set list:
- That’s My Kind of Night
- Rain Is a Good Thing
- What Makes You Country
- Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day
- Knockin’ Boots
- Kick the Dust Up
- Waves
- Down to One
- What She Wants Tonight
- When the Sun Goes Down
- This Is How We Roll
- All My Friends Say
- Crash My Party
- Roller Coaster
- Play It Again
- Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset
- Country Girl (Shake It For Me)
- I Don’t Want This Night to End
