Ty Herndon has announced the date for his Love and Acceptance concert this year. The concert is done in partnership with CMT to call for respect and inclusiveness of the rights of the LGBTQ+ community in America.
The concert will see Herndon as co-host, after he came out in 2014 to publicly reveal his gay sexual status, making him the first notable country music star to do so. Since 2015, the Love and Acceptance Concert has held every year, with Cody Allen of CMT as a co-host since 2017, the year he disclosed his gay status.
The 2021 Love and Acceptance concert promises to be an exciting one for fans, as the organizers have enlisted top country music stars to perform alongside Herndon.
Ty Herndon And High Profile Artists Expected To Be At The Concert
The 2021 edition of the concert will be broadcast online, as part of precautions in the da e of the coronavirus pandemic. The concert is billed to hold on the 30th of June at 8 p.m. Eastern Time with performances from a host of country music stars.
The stars expected to perform include the Brothers Osborne, Canadian country music star, Terri Clark, renowned vocalists and lyricists, Chris Housman and Harper Grae, the country music duo of LOCASH, Brooke Eden, Gretchen Peters, Grammy Award vocalist Kathy Mattea, and Rissi Palmer, the popular radio personality and country musician.
The list also includes the Canadian country vocalist Tenille Townes, the country music band, Walker County, Kristen Chenoweth, and the upcoming country music singer, Chase Wright. More musical acts are expected to be made part of the list soon.
Herndon Expresses Delight At Co-hosting The 2021 Concert
In a press release to announce the date for the Love and Acceptance concerts for 2021, Herndon revealed that he was excited at the partnership with CMT to co-host this year’s edition to a wider audience. He expressed his delight that the audience will be filled with varying age groups and personalities, who will be implored to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community in country music and across the United States.
He added that he has partnered with CMT since 2015 in holding the concert to make people aware of the message of unconditional love for everyone regardless of their sexual orientation.
The host of the weekly CMT Hot 20 Country music charts show, Cody Allen, also revealed his excitement at making a return to the Love and Acceptance concert as a co-host. According to him, the message preached by the concert was still of importance today just as when it started in 2015.
Ty Herndon added that with the continued discrimination against the LGBTQ+ population in Tennessee, he believes in using music to re-orientate the minds of people towards accepting the LGBTQ+ community.
