Kaynette Williams, the ex-wife of country music star, Blake Shelton, has gotten over their divorce with the recent happenings in her life. The reason for their divorce in 2006 has been revealed to be because of infidelity issues during the marriage. The former celebrity couple began their relationship way back in Ada, Oklahoma when they were still in high school and eventually got married.
In an interview with an online tabloid in 2003, Blake revealed that he proposed to his ex-wife in a country music manner. The renowned singer and songwriter described the day as being a fine morning in December, where he proposed to her after coming back from hunting. He said that after agreeing to marry him, that they spent the day in the company of friends before going back to hunt game as a couple.
Blake and Kaynette got married on the 17th of November, 2003, when he took time off from touring with Toby Keith. The quiet wedding ceremony took place in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Blake And Kaynette’s Wedding And Divorce
In an interview with Country Weekly soon after their private wedding ceremony, Blake revealed that he knew Kaynette was his soulmate from the first day he set eyes on her. He added that it was more about the way he felt about her than about her beauty or the fact that he got along with her very well. As good as Blake’s description of his love for Kaynette was, their marriage didn’t last long, as they ended up getting a divorce three years later, in 2006.
Blake was quick in shaking off the dirt from their divorce, as he got married to country music singer, Miranda Lambert, on the 14th of May, 2011 in the city of Boerne, Texas. In an interview with a magazine in 2013, the country music star admitted that his marriage to Kaynette was not ideal, as he married someone more of a pal than his soulmate.
Kaynette revealed during an interview in 201with The Enquirer, that she relocated back to Oklahoma from Tennessee, after the divorce. However, she didn’t feel comfortable living in Oklahoma as her ex-husband and his new wife settled down in a town close by.
Kaynette’s Life After The Divorce
Kaynette has been living a quiet life after her divorce from Blake. She is a teacher in an elementary school in Kansas City, where she has received awards for her exemplary teaching skills. Kaynette is presently married to the steer roping world record holder, Cody Joe Scheck. On the other hand, Blake and Miranda Lambert were married for four years before their divorce on the 20th of July, 2015. He is presently engaged to the pop singer, Gwen Stefani, which was publicly announced in October last year. We wish Kaynette many more years of blissful marriage.
