Brad Paisley Growing Up And Rise To Fame
Brad is the only child of his parents Edward Paisley, who worked at the Transportation Department in West Virginia, and Sandra Jean, a school teacher, who lived in Glen Dale, West Virginia.
He revealed in an interview that his grandfather, Warren Jarvis, stirred his love for country music at an early age and presented him with his first guitar made by Sears, a Danelectro Silvertone. His first performance was at his local church before going on to form a band, “Brad Paisley and the C-Notes”, with his guitar teacher, Clarence Goddard, and two family relatives.
Brad is a 1991 graduate of the John Marshall High School in his hometown. He proceeded to the West Liberty State College, West Liberty, before gaining a scholarship from ASCAP to study in Nashville, Tennessee at the Belmont University, where he graduated with a degree in Music Business.
A week after graduating from Belmont, he was signed by EMI Music Publishing as a lyricist. In 1991, he released his debut album, “Who Needs Pictures” under Arista Records, which brought him to the limelight with hit songs like “He Didn’t Have to Be”, “We Danced”, and “Me Neither”. The album went to be a huge commercial success and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
Since then, he has released 11 other successful studio albums, which have been certified at least Gold, earning him numerous music awards in his collection.

Brad was involved with the country singer, Chely Wright towards the end of 2000. They broke up after he realized that she was already living with her female partner. The 48-year-old native of West Virginia is currently married to actress Kimberly Williams.
They began dating in 2001 after she featured in the video for his hit song, “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song)”. The pair got married on the 15th of August, 2003 at the Steffel Chapel in Pepperdine University after been engaged for 9 months.
They are blessed with two sons, William ” Huck” Huckleberry, who was born in Nashville on the 22nd of February, 2007, and Jasper Warren, who was born on the 17th of April, 2009.
