Taylor Swift’s New Song: You All Over Me

Taylor Swift’s re-recording of Fearless is gradually coming to an end as Good Morning America has shared a preview of You All Over Me, one of the songs on the album. You All Over Me is one of the six special songs that Swift earlier said would be appearing on Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

The re-recording of Taylor Swift’s 2008 album will feature twenty songs that were in the original album and six songs that previously did not get released.

Taylor Swift: You All Over Me

Swift previously tagged the six tracks “From the Vault”. According to the Afterglow singer, You All Over Me drops on Thursday, March 25 at midnight Eastern Time. Swift revealed in a March 24 Instagram post that country singer, Maren Morris will be lending her magic in form of background vocals on the track. Swift also stated in the post that Aaron Dessner produced the track and she and Scooter Carusoe wrote the lyrics.

Never-before-released Songs

In her post, Taylor Swift stated that since the “From the Vault” songs were not released with the original Fearless album, she gets to make desired tweaks on them and even have some of her favorite artists feature in the songs.

“One thing I’ve been loving about these From The Vault songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play, and even include some of my favorite artists,” Swifts Instagram post reads.

Reproduction of Old Classic Songs

Taylor Swift announced that she would be re-recording her first five albums after Scooter Braun’s company acquired Big Machine Label Group, the parent company of Swift’s old record label, Big Machine Records, in 2019. Staying true to her words, the artist who was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, released Love Story (Taylor’s Version) last month and is set to release the redone version of Fearless in April.

The Cardigan crooner had to wait until this year for the re-recording as a result of contractual obligations which ended in November last year. In 2019, Swift revealed on Good Morning America that she would redo all of her first five albums to stay true to her beliefs that artists should have the sole ownership of their songs.

Her former label had given her the choice to record a new album to get sole right over each of her old albums, but Swift said she chose to let go of the past in a bid to secure her future albums. Her new record label Universal Music Group allows Taylor Swift to own all of her work, including the re-recorded albums and every other song she records.

Folklore and Evermore: Taylor Swift’s Gifts To Us

While re-recording of her old classic, nonetheless, Swift is still recording new tracks much to the amazement of her fans. During the COVID-19 pandemic last year, the multi-award-winning singer and songwriter released two albums, Folklore and Evermore. The albums are doing quite well and Folklore already won Swift a Grammy for Album of the Year.
