Trisha Yearwood Pet Collection Inspired By Her Rescue Dogs

Trisha Yearwood launched her new line of products for pets designed to help make their life easier and happier, and recently revealed that her two rescue dogs Emmy and Millie were her inspiration behind the products.

The 3-time Grammy award winning country singer may be busy with other aspects of her career, like music, growing her retail shop, and even acting as a coach to new musicians trying to break into the industry, but she’s definitely not too busy to come up with a line of products meant to improve the comfort of pets.

Trisha Yearwood’s Pet Collection

The Trisha Yearwood Pet Collection includes pet bedding, treats, collars, pet shampoos and conditioners and more. In an interview with PEOPLE, the country musician said that her two rescue dogs Emmy and Millie didn’t only serve as an inspiration for the line, but actually helped test some of its products.

Trisha Yearwood brought Emmy home when she found her wandering down a road in Oklahoma in July 2013. Millie was adopted by Trisha Yearwood and her husband Garth Brooks five years later in November 2018.

“My dogs are indoor-outdoor dogs. They will dig around and roll in things. I want them to enjoy their lives,” Yearwood said of her rescue dogs Emmy and Millie. “These are the real dogs that inspired me, so we made dog bedding that is machine washable and wipes to get dogs clean quick in between baths.”

Trisha Yearwood also said that she thinks that the line will be “practical and pretty” for pet owners, but mostly, she hopes the new line can get to help more animals and improve their lives.

“I hope that this pet line will give me the opportunity to help more shelters and rescue animals and have the chance to educate others about the importance of spaying/neutering your pet and pet adoption. Animals that you rescue, there is just nothing like them. It’s such a wonderful gift. It’s unconditional love.”

Trisha’s Rescue Dogs Help Her Cope With Anxiety

In another interview with New Beauty, the “She’s in Love with the Boy” singer revealed that having Millie and Emmy in her life became a coping mechanism for her in terms of stress. According to Trisha, getting to walk, or run, the dogs in their many hills helps her feel better about things.

“I have a couple of rescue dogs that like to run every day, so I hike with them. We have a lot of hills, so it’s a no-joke hike that helps me clear my mind. In the very beginning of this, around April of last year, I had the anxiety that everybody had. I thought, ‘I can’t do this for long’—I had to force myself to figure out ways to calm down. I’m a spiritual person, so I made myself start the day by not scrolling my phone, reading a devotional, and just being quiet and meditative. I do all that on the hikes, too. It’s a great time to contemplate and it keeps me centered.”

We love animals. We had four cats but 3 of them passed away last year as they were all old (17 to 19) and we have a dog too. I am always in the look out for dog products so I will take a look at these.
