Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood Marriage Update

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood celebrated a special time in their marriage during the ongoing pandemic and even after Yearwood’s current struggle with it. They revealed that their time in quarantine helped them grow closer and make their union even stronger.

While some couples are breaking up and separating due to the Coronavirus and the lockdown, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have the pandemic to thank for bringing them closer together and helping them heal through things.

During Brooks’ virtual interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, he decided to use that time to talk about how things stand with him and “The Queen.”

Garth, 59, gave a detailed picture to the guest host Stephen “tWitch” Boss on how he and Trish used their time in quarantine to settle the hard things in their marriage that tried to drive them apart.  “We used it to work on ourselves because we were by ourselves for two weeks, almost three weeks,” he recalled.

“I think 99.9% of people wouldn’t have done what I [did], but I thought since we’re here, and we ain’t got nowhere to go, let’s just attack some of the hardest things over the 15 years that bugs one of us, right?”

Garth Brooks added. “And it was like living in a little house. You couldn’t go anywhere, so you couldn’t walk away from the conversation. And I thought it was great, I think we came out the other end even closer and tighter than we were when we went in.”

Trisha then decided to pop in to share her own sentiments as well. She first joked that she did try to run away from the tough conversations, but later agreed with what her husband had formerly said and added, “If you can talk about the hard stuff, it’s good. And we’re in this for the long haul.”

She then turned to her husband and threatened him with, “You’re stuck with me.”  The artists had to get tested twice for Coronavirus when a member of their band tested positive for it, and last month Trisha got diagnosed with it. Garth showed his fears at the time of his wife having enduring symptoms and asked fans to send their prayers to the family for Trisha’s complete and speedy recovery.

Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood: Covering Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s Shallow

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood then turned their attention to their cover of Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s Shallow from A Star Is Born. According to them, they both loved the movie and had been asked by their fans to sing the song, so they finally had to cave in.

Yearwood later said that he was unsure whether Gaga, 34, or Cooper, 46, had heard their take on the song.

“As long as we don’t [know], we think they love it,” Trisha quipped, before Garth joined in with “We both know them and they’re very, very sweet to us, but they haven’t ever said [anything], we never said anything, and I’m wondering — if like us — if they’re too scared to even mention it.”

Garth then added that when they call each other, they only just about ask each other about their families without ever raising the topic in conversation.
