Luke Combs Song “Forever After All” Inspired By His Tennessee Home
Luke Combs, recently scored a hit with his latest song, “Forever After All”. The song went top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart, making it the 11th time that one of Luke’s songs has consecutively topped the charts.
“Forever After All” Making Waves Across Music Charts
The hit song is one of the five new songs that make up his recent deluxe album, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get. The “Forever After All” track is making huge waves across streaming mediums as it is the most streamed song on the Billboards Hot Country Songs and Country Streaming Charts for this week.
It also debuted at the second spot on the Top 100 general music Billboard charts making it the first time a male artist in the country music genre will have a song debut that high. The song is an endearing tribute to his loving partner of many years, Nicole, who he married last year.
The video for the love lullaby shows excerpts from their colorful wedding ceremony on the beachside as they exchange marital vows. It is not the first time that a country music star will use his real-life wedding ceremony as the video to a song, as Chris Lane also did it with his song, Big, Big Plans.
Luke and Nicole first started dating sometime in 2016, before getting engaged in 2018. Since then, the couple has kept their love going strong which culminated in their wedding on the 1st of August last year.
Luke Combs Shares Inspiration Behind Forever After All
Luke Combs revealed the inspiration behind his hit song in an interview with the radio operated by the Beasley Media Group, Country 102.5. He said that he felt inspired to write the song after moving with Nicole into their new home which is a short distance from Nashville, Tennessee.
According to him, the song is the third sequel of his love story with Nicole, after the first two songs about their relationship, “Better Together” and “Beautiful Crazy”. He disclosed that it is the first song he wrote after they moved to Tennessee, saying that he co-wrote the song with two of his friends, Rob Williford and Drew Parker in January of 2019.
He added that he had been playing around with the idea of the song for a while but when he brought it up during a studio session, they came out with the song that has earned Luke added popularity across the music genres.
Luke went to say that the commercial success of the song has not only helped him mark the special occasion of buying a house with Nicole but also filled him with a great sense of fulfillment after the hard work of working on it with Drew and Rob.
The country music star recently rendered a duet performance of Forever After All with Chayce Beckham, the present winner of the just-concluded music talent series, American Idol.
