Kane Brown is a new dad to baby girl Kingsley Rose Brown, and he can’t pass up an opportunity to talk about his little girl. In a recent interview, he lovingly calls her his best friend. Kane Brown has once said that Kingsley Rose changed his life when she was born, now we know by how much.
The 27-year-old country singer is father to 17-month-old Kingsley Rose with his wife Katelyn Jae. During a recent interview on The Artist and The Athlete with Lindsay Czarniak podcast, the proud “dada” revealed that his daughter Kingsley is his “little girl, man. She’s my best friend.”
Kingsley Rose Makes Kane Brown’s Day So Much Better
But that’s not the first time the country musician has dished on his daughter and her impact on their lives.
He may have a rocky beginning with some jealous feelings when his baby girl needed her mother more than she does him, but that’s all changed now, with Brown sharing that she can now say “dada.”
“Every time I put her down she just keeps saying dada and [puts her arms up], so I can’t say no,” he shared at the time.
In an earlier interview with PEOPLE magazine, the “Be Like That” singer talked about fatherhood and how that has affected his life. “Kingsley has completely changed our lives for the better. I know when I get home and I’m exhausted, just holding her makes my day completely better.”
Kane Brown Wants More Children
“I have learned to be patient, and I’ve also learned that there’s true love. And if anybody ever got between me and my daughter, I don’t know what would go on,” he joked. “She’s super chill. Kind of like me, just laid back, and if she gets mad, she’s super easy to cheer up real quick.”
Of course Brown is passing on his love of music and once shared that he and Kingsley both love playing outdoors and listening to songs. While he obviously spends quality dad time with his little girl, he hasn’t let that stop him from making music. He credited his wife as the sole reason why his musical career hasn’t been interrupted that much by his role as a new father.
“Kate’s been a great mom and a huge backbone for me if I have to go to the studio or if I go to a writing session,” he said. “There’s never anything that she can’t handle. She never hits me up and says, ‘Hey you have to leave your write early because I have to do this.’ She’s just there, so she’s awesome.”
The “What Ifs” singer is sure about one thing, and it is his desire to have more kids. He wants the girls and the boys as well. You know, the kind that’s the right recipe for a rowdy, but perfectly happy, family.
“I want a boy, too. I want a boy and a girl,” Brown opened up in an Extra interview back in September after welcoming his daughter the previous October.
