Prior to Kane Brown’s Blessed and Free tour which will begin October 1, the “Famous Friends” collaborators hit the stage together to give fans a preview of what’s to come.
Kane Brown recently announced his 35-date tour, along with a list of locations that the country singer will visit in his Blessed and Free Tour. Remarkably, 29 of those shows will happen at NBA basketball arenas in his 2021-2022 tour, making him the first country singer to play in that number of basketball arenas with a single tour. The tour will kick off in Sacramento and end in Las Vegas on February 4, 2022.
To prepare fans for what’s coming, Kane Brown decided to play a one-off show, with the first artist that he signed to his 1021 entertainment label which is under Sony Nashville, Restless Road, to join him. Another performer to play in the show along with Brown and Restless Road remained a mystery, and not just to his fans.
Kane Brown Preview Performance at Memphis
While many country music performers are scheduled to begin touring sometime in summer, Brown’s Sunday, April 12 performance at Elvis Presley’s Graceland doubled up as a fun time for everybody involved and as a way to honor frontline service workers. Little did he know that a surprise for both his fans and himself was on the way.
Chris Young posted a clip on Instagram during Brown’s show where he made fans aware of the little antic he was about to pull. He made a little clip saying, “Hey Kane, you don’t know I’m here right now, but you’re going to.” He captioned the clip, “Sometimes you have to fly to Memphis and surprise ‘Famous Friend’ on stage! Love ya, Kane Brown!”
Chris Young Famous Friends Duet
The duet “Famous Friends” was immediately a fan favorite with the two country music stars giving a sort of shout out to the “unsung heroes” in their hometown in country song fashion.
The video for the single was also released and featured the country singers’ real life friends. They praised Brandon, and called out Jason the sheriff, and Megan who is the teacher of the year with their song.
