There is a similarity in Kip’s new single to another of his hit songs, Reckless, a song from his first album, Up All Night. Reckless was written by Kip and Couch, alongside Jay. Good Life comes after the huge commercial success of Kip’s fourth album, Wild World.

The fourth studio album by Kip, Wild World, was greeted with high acclaim by fans and critics alike. He released a deluxe version of the album in February this year, adding four new songs. The album is a reflective journey taken by Kip into freedom, love, peace, maturity, and an appreciation for the gift of life.
As part of the events to celebrate the release of the deluxe version, a concert was streamed live to audiences from inside the Ryman Auditorium. The highlight of the event featured a cameo appearance by Ashley, and harper on the huge impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on the different music club enterprises.

Kip’s progression into the country rock genre is a step up for his musical career, as he works with Jay Joyce, who co-wrote the song, who adds the hard rock sounds that are heard in the song.
The song was produced together with familiar faces in Kip’s music career, Eric Church and Ashley McBryde. Their hard rock sound leanings can also be heard in Good Life and the sound effects during post-production. Fans of the country music star will definitely rock their heads to Kip’s latest single.
While talking about recording the song in the studio, Kip said working with Jay greatly elevated him as a musician. According to him, his collaboration with Jay helped him to discover new things about himself in musical terms. For him, it is a step up from the level he was musically when working on his fourth album.
Kip Moore added that he wrote Good Life while on a surfing vacation during the winter months that just passed. He expressed his excitement at releasing the song for the listening pleasure of his fans.
