Country Music news reveals that singer Reba McEntire (born March 28, 1955) is country music royalty. The native Oklahoman began her career in the Kiowa High School band and she has come a long way since then.
She released her first solo album in 1977 and her album My Kind of Country (1984) had two number one singles, “How Blue” and “Somebody Should Leave” making her a household name.
In the 1980s and 1990s Reba continued her red hot streak of music making and over time has released 29 studio albums, acquired 24 number one singles, had 16 number one albums, and all but one of her albums have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum.
Her nickname “The Queen of Country” suits her well and all told she has sold more than 75 million records worldwide.

Who is Reba McEntire’s Son?
Shelby Steven McEntire Blackstock was born February 23, 1990 and he is the only son of Reba and her ex-husband Narvel Blackstock.
Shelby is a race car driver and his older half-brother, Brandon Blackstock, was married to singer Kelly Clarkson. He also has two older half-sisters, Shawna and Chassidy.
Reba McEntire’s Son is a Race Car Driver
Blackstock is actually a formally educated race car driver, having attended a Bob Bondurant race school. He was so taken with the activity that he dropped out of college to pursue a pro racing career full-time.
From there he appeared in Skip Barber competitions in 2010 and 2011 and in 2011 he made his professional debut driving a Ford Mustang in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.
Shelby finished fifth in the 2011 Skip Barber National Championship. In 2012, he joined the U.S. F2000 National Championship with Andretti Autosport and finished eighth in points with a best finish of fourth at Road America.

In 2013 Shelby joined Andretti Autosport and in 2014 he continued in Pro Mazda with Andretti.
It’s clear that Shelby loves racing as he has continued to pursue his passion through the years. In 2015 he signed to race for Andretti Autosport in the Indy Lights series and had 50 Indy Lights starts for Andretti Autosport and Belardi Auto Racing over the next three seasons.
More recently Shelby participated in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in 2019 where he finished 4th in points in the TCR class in a Honda Civic.
Last year he competed in the GT World Challenge America in a Acura NSX. Also in 2020 he and co-driver Trent Hindman won the series’ Silver Cup for professional drivers by default.
