Garth Brooks To Kick Off Cheyenne Frontier Days At Its 125th Anniversary
Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Cheyenne Frontier Days are planning to hold its 125th edition of the largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration, fearlessly at full capacity. It will be a star-studded affair and 19,000 people are expected to be in attendance.
Full Lineup for the 2021 Cheyenne Frontier Days
On Thursday, Cheyenne Frontier Days announced its full lineup of performances. Country Legend Garth Brooks is set to open the 10-day event on July 23rd. Among the impressive roster are Blake Shelton and Karen Morris who appear on the list as headliners. Others include Eric Church, Thomas Rhett and his singer father Rhett Atkins, amongst other big names in the country music world.
Performers that will be a part of the 2021 Frontier Nights — which will run all the way to August 1st at Frontier Park in Cheyenne, Wyoming– lineup include: Ned Ledoux, Kane Brown, Cody Johnson, Rhett Atkins, Ashley McBryde and Restless Road.
The event is returning after its one year hiatus as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The show, after being cancelled for the first time ever in its 124-year history last year, is ready to launch big and full, with an impressive roster and appearances that will make country music fans’ eyes water with joyful tears.
“We are so glad to be sharing this lineup for 2021 tonight,” Contract Acts chairman Randy Krafft issued a statement about the upcoming event. “It has been a long year for all of us and we can’t wait to welcome our fans back to Frontier Park.”
An announcement made on Wednesday made it clear that the arena will be packed at full capacity and no masks are required. Probably they decided that masks are not very helpful when you have to screech out your favorite lines along with the performing artist.
But it’s not like we’ve waltzed out completely from that dark era called “coronavirus pandemic”, so there will be some measures. There will be serious cleaning and sanitizing, like on a whole new level. Your tickets will be digital, making them touchless, so no risk of spreading the virus through plain old paper tickets.
Finally, only cashless payments are allowed and the organizers of the event have provided hand sanitizers and water throughout the park. All they’re requesting is that guests, volunteers, performers and everybody that will be in attendance make use of the provided facilities.
And oh, let’s not forget to cover our mouths while coughing and sneezing. I know Barney even made a song about how we should keep our sneezes to ourselves, but this time, it’s even more pressing than the catchy song may make you aware.
