Trisha debuted on the country music scene with her 1991 self-titled album which contained her debut single “She’s in Love with the Boy.” The tune hit number one on the Billboard country singles chart nd the album sold over two million copies.
The 90’s were a good decade for Yearwood whose major country hits included “Walkaway Joe” (1992), “The Song Remembers When” (1993), “XXX’s and OOO’s (An American Girl)” (1994), and “Believe Me Baby (I Lied)” (1996).

Yearwood has sold over 15 million records worldwide and her catalog has brought her many awards. These include three Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music awards and three awards from the Country Music Association.
Trisha Yearwood has been a cast member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1999. Yearwood turned away from recording for several years while she pursued other creative interests. This included the publication of three cookbooks, all of which appeared on The New York Times Best Seller list.
In 2012 the beautiful and talented songbird debuted her cooking show on the Food Network called Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, and it won her a Daytime Emmy Award.
Yearwood’s First Husband
Trisha Yearwood married her first husband, Chris Latham, in 1987 and the pair divorced in 1991. In 1994, she married Bobby Reynolds, a bassist for The Mavericks and they divorced in 1999.
Yearwood and third husband Garth Brooks were friends and musical partners before becoming romantically involved. Brooks has said that his first encounter with Yearwood felt like, “that feeling when you just meet your wife.” However, he was married to someone else at the time he met Yearwood—awkward.
In fact Trisha Yearwood was also married but after their mutual divorces, the two began dating circa 2002. They were engaged in 2005 and married on December 13, 2005. The wedding took place at the couple’s home in Owasso, Oklahoma and Brooks’ three children were a part of the wedding ceremony.
