Country music legend Loretta Lynn, 89, is planning to give back to the community by hosting a country music concert that will benefit the victims of the recent deadly flooding.
The flooding in Dickinson and Humphreys Counties has displaced dozens of people and left two dozen more dead or missing. As the nation bands together to support the county and volunteer their help, Loretta Lynn and a number of country music artists will be doing their part to help in the struggles by volunteering their voices.

“I am so honored that so many of our friends are coming together to show so much love for our neighbors and community after such a devastating loss,” Lynn said in a release published on Friday. “You know, we’ve all needed help from time-to-time, and that’s why when we can give back, we do.”
“The flood that devastated our area has been awful, but love is stronger,” Lynn also shared on Twitter. “I’m so grateful for my friends who are answering my call for us to all pitch in and help every way we can.
Lynn was also personally affected by the flooding as her long-time ranch foreman, Wayne Spears, died after he was swept away by floodwaters over the weekend.
