So what do Dolly and Miley have in common? Parton just happens to have the challenge of serving as godmother to Cyrus. And as we reveal below, that role has resulted in rumors that the country music singer has been forced to intervene in her “wild child” goddaughter’s life!

Truth or fiction? Keep reading for the reality check.

Dolly Gets Help From Other Country Music Singers For Miley Cyrus?

The rumors about Dolly Parton needing to stage an intervention for Miley Cyrus began in the National Enquirer.

That publication insisted that the country music songstress was “distressed” about Miley. In her role as godmother, Dolly therefore supposedly decided to plan an intervention.

But where would Parton find information about how to help someone who allegedly drinks too much? Enter Dolly’s numerous famous contacts in the country music world.

The Enquirer claims to have talked with an insider, who said, “Dolly had always fussed over Miley like a mother hen. She’s worried Miley is going to throw away her career and her life.”

Therefore, based on Cyrus’ past issues with both excess alcohol and drugs, Parton allegedly “wants to enlist woman she knows Miley truly admires, like Reba McEntire and Loretta Lynn, and organize a sit-down.”

Dolly Parton Replacing Miley Cyrus’ Parents as the ‘Take Action’ Adult?

What’s baffling about this article: Miley Cyrus has a mother and a father who are alive and well. Tish Cyrus, Miley’s mom, is an actress herself and also has served as the singer’s manager.

And Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley’s father, is famed in his own right as a singer and songwriter. So why would Tish and Billy Ray ask the woman they chose as godmother, Dolly Parton, to intervene in their daughter’s life?

Miley’s parents allegedly think that their daughter will listen more to Dolly than to her own mom and dad.  Moreover, the source says that if Parton can get country music superstars like Reba and Loretta to sit down with Miley, Cyrus is “likely to understand any mistakes she makes now can affect her life forever.”

Reality check:  The rumors appear to stem from Miley getting photographed recently drinking alcohol.

However, there’s no evidence that she’s gone back to the days when she was viewed as the wild child of the music world.

So is anything in that article true? Well, Miley does adore her godmother Dolly Parton. Cyrus has even shown her love for her godmother’s country music success by recording her own version of Parton’s legendary “Jolene”! Watch below.
