Country music songstress Jana Kramer is known for her strong lyrics, including tunes about love such as “What I Love About Your Love” and “I Won’t Give Up.”
But those love songs are striking a sour note as the news hits that Jana just filed for divorce. The reason? Kramer reportedly discovered that her husband cheated on her. Get the inside story below.
Why Did Jana Kramer File for Divorce From Mike Caussin?
In “I Won’t Give Up,” Jana sings, “I won’t change my mind; No, I’ll see you through; And I won’t give up, no I won’t give up, I won’t give up on you.”
But Kramer apparently has given up… and for a good reason. An insider claimed that Jana filed for divorce from husband Mike Caussin because of infidelity.
This isn’t the first time that Kramer has learned that Caussin was unfaithful. Jana and Mike first separated in 2016 because he reportedly cheated. But this time is the last time that she’ll give up, according to the source.
“He [Mike Caussin] cheated and broke her [Jana Kramer] trust again,” said the insider. “After fighting for the marriage for so long, she’s come to terms with the realization that his patterns were never going to change.”
Jana Kramer Tells Instagram About the Split
Jana didn’t try to hide her emotional state from her fans, however. Although Kramer did not directly accuse Caussin of infidelity, the 37-year-old country music songstress did turn to Instagram to reveal that she is exiting her marriage with 34-year-old Caussin. The two were married for six years.
“‘It’s time.’ As I try to make sense of a reality I never wanted to believe could be possible again, those words have now become a reality,” wrote Jana to her Instagram followers. “I’ve fought y’all. I’ve loved hard. I’ve forgiven. I’ve put the work in. I’ve given everything I have, and now I have nothing else to give.”
However, Kramer also emphasized that she has not lost her belief in “marriage, love, and rebuilding.” The challenge for the country music singer?
“I just can’t fight any longer. It’s time to heal,” concluded Jana. “Thank you for all the love, heart, and support, in many ways you have fought on this journey alongside me, and for that I am grateful. I’ll always encourage you to continue the good fight, but you can’t fight it alone.
What’s Next for Jana Kramer, Mike Caussin?
The insider also revealed that Jana and Mike will shift their focus from their marriage to their offspring.
“The focus now is on their kids,” said the source.
Kramer and Caussin have two children. Jolie Rae is 5, while Jace Joseph is just 2 years old.
Ironically, Jana filed for divorce less than a year after she and her now-estranged husband published their book, “The Good Fight: Wanting to Leave, Choosing to Stay, and the Powerful Practice for Loving Faithfully.” They wrote about how they made t heir marriage stronger after Mike went into treatment for sex addiction.
The news about the divorce and Jana’s Instagram announcement are a sad contrast to the sweet lyrics in her song, “What I Love About YOur Love.” In that tune, Kramer sings, “The moon is brighter than the mornin’ sun
The birds sing sweeter and the bees they buzz
A silly little song and we’re hummin’ along
Dancin’ like a dandelion swaying in the breeze.”
